Proverbs 3:1-10
3 My son, do not forget my law, But let your heart keep my commands; 2 For length of days and long life And peace they will add to you. 3 Let not mercy and truth forsake you; Bind them around your neck, Write them on the tablet of your heart, 4 And so find favor and high esteem In the sight of God and man. 5 Trust in the Lord with all your heart, And lean not on your own understanding; 6 In all your ways acknowledge Him, And He shall direct your paths. 7 Do not be wise in your own eyes; Fear the Lord and depart from evil. 8 It will be health to your flesh, And strength to your bones. 9 Honor the Lord with your possessions, And with the firstfruits of all your increase; 10 So your barns will be filled with plenty, And your vats will overflow with new wine. Here in the first 10 verses is wisdom for the young in age, or young in maturity. When we are you we think we know it all but...the Lord sys to remember His law and keep His commands. This is wisdom for all our lives. When we trust in the Lord with all our heart lean on His understanding and not our own acknowledging all His ways He will direct our paths. When we fear the Lord and depart from evil it will be health to us and strength for us. It goes on to tell us to honor the Lord with our possessions, our first fruits of ALL our increase. In God's economy the key to financial increase is 'GIVING'! We have no control God alone is our source! #KeyToFinancialIncrease #Giving

Galatians 5:16-23
16 I say then: Walk in the Spirit, and you shall not fulfill the lust of the flesh. 17 For the flesh lusts against the Spirit, and the Spirit against the flesh; and these are contrary to one another, so that you do not do the things that you wish. 18 But if you are led by the Spirit, you are not under the law. 19 Now the works of the flesh are evident, which are: adultery, fornication, uncleanness, lewdness, 20 idolatry, sorcery, hatred, contentions, jealousies, outbursts of wrath, selfish ambitions, dissensions, heresies, 21 envy, murders, drunkenness, revelries, and the like; of which I tell you beforehand, just as I also told you in time past, that those who practice such things will not inherit the kingdom of God. 22 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, 23 gentleness, self-control. Against such there is no law. Yes everyday we can choose to be ready for change. Some days it is very evident we must change in order for our circumstances to change. We must choose to "Walk in the Spirit". If we walk in the spirit and NOT fulfill the lust of the flesh, we will experience the fruit of the Spirit. Self control is one fruit that shows me IF I am walking in the spirit or lusting after the flesh. Are you ready for change? Have you checked your walk today? You can choose to let the fruits be fulfilled in your life so others will see Christ's victory in you life OR you can choose to stay in the same rut! #WalkintheSpirit #Ready4Change #SelfControl Genesis 39:1-12
Now Joseph had been taken down to Egypt. And Potiphar, an officer of Pharaoh, captain of the guard, an Egyptian, bought him from the Ishmaelites who had taken him down there. The Lord was with Joseph, and he was a successful man; and he was in the house of his master the Egyptian. And his master saw that the Lord was with him and that the Lord made all he did to prosper in his hand. So Joseph found favor in his sight, and served him. Then he made him overseer of his house, and all that he had he put under his authority. So it was, from the time that he had made him overseer of his house and all that he had, that the Lord blessed the Egyptian’s house for Joseph’s sake; and the blessing of the Lord was on all that he had in the house and in the field. Thus he left all that he had in Joseph’s hand, and he did not know what he had except for the bread which he ate. Now Joseph was handsome in form and appearance. And it came to pass after these things that his master’s wife cast longing eyes on Joseph, and she said, “Lie with me.” But he refused and said to his master’s wife, “Look, my master does not know what is with me in the house, and he has committed all that he has to my hand. There is no one greater in this house than I, nor has he kept back anything from me but you, because you are his wife. How then can I do this great wickedness, and sin against God?” So it was, as she spoke to Joseph day by day, that he did not heed her, to lie with her or to be with her. But it happened about this time, when Joseph went into the house to do his work, and none of the men of the house was inside, that she caught him by his garment, saying, “Lie with me.” But he left his garment in her hand, and fled and ran outside. When temptation knocks at our door, sometimes we must "just walk away". Joseph was tempted by Potipher's wife, but he knew if he gave into temptation he would sin against God. Paul tells us in 1 COR. 10:13 God is faithful; he will not let us be tempted beyond what we can bear. He will provide a way out so we can endure it. #Temptation #WalkAway #GodProvidesaWay Galatians 5:22-26
But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control. Against such there is no law. And those who areChrist’s have crucified the flesh with its passions and desires. If we live in the Spirit, let us also walk in the Spirit. Let us not become conceited, provoking one another, envying one another. What is the fruit of self control? If we say something in anger, frustration, self pity, towards someone we can't take back those words. Self control gives us the power to NOT say or do the things in the flesh that we want to out of wrong motives. It gives us back love. Gal. 5: 14 tells us the law is fulfilled in one word "LOVE" your neighbor as yourself. Love produces the fruit. Love is a choice. |
