Isaiah 30:15-17
For thus says the Lord God, the Holy One of Israel: “In returning and rest you shall be saved; In quietness and confidence shall be your strength.” But you would not, And you said, “No, for we will flee on horses”-- Therefore you shall flee! And, “We will ride on swift horses”-- Therefore those who pursue you shall be swift! One thousand shall flee at the threat of one, At the threat of five you shall flee, Till you are left as a pole on top of a mountain And as a banner on a hill. In returning to America we shall rest. In quietness and confidence we shall be strong. We have had a very blessed time in Kenya this past week. Tonight is our last night. We return to rest and have confidence in the Lord He shall renew our strength.

Psalm 91:1-2
He who dwells in the secret place of the Most High Shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty. I will say of the Lord, “He is my refuge and my fortress; My God, in Him I will trust.” As you abide in God you can be assured of His presence and His safety. Take time each day to "abide in Him". Rest in His presence! ![]() Psalm 37:1-11 The Heritage of the Righteous and the Calamity of the Wicked Do not fret because of evildoers, Nor be envious of the workers of iniquity. For they shall soon be cut down like the grass, And wither as the green herb. Trust in the Lord, and do good; Dwell in the land, and feed on His faithfulness. Delight yourself also in the Lord, And He shall give you the desires of your heart. Commit your way to the Lord, Trust also in Him, And He shall bring it to pass. He shall bring forth your righteousness as the light, And your justice as the noonday. Rest in the Lord, and wait patiently for Him; Do not fret because of him who prospers in his way, Because of the man who brings wicked schemes to pass. Cease from anger, and forsake wrath; Do not fret--it only causes harm. For evildoers shall be cut off; But those who wait on the Lord, They shall inherit the earth. For yet a little while and the wicked shall be no more; Indeed, you will look carefully for his place, But it shall be no more. But the meek shall inherit the earth, And shall delight themselves in the abundance of peace. Do not fret about America, put your trust and faith in God! Repent from your evil ways, delight yourself in the Lord. Commit your ways to His ways. Cease from anger receive peace! Warfare in the Will of God
Ezra 4:6-24 This account serves as a model of warfare in the will of God. The enemy used discouragement as his weapon. If you are discouraged today "Keep calm and carry on". You are a servant of the God of heaven and earth and the gates of hades shall not prevail against you. Ezra 5:11 And thus they returned us an answer, saying: “We are the servants of the God of heaven and earth, and we are rebuilding the temple that was built many years ago, which a great king of Israel built and completed.Matthew 16:18 And I also say to you that you are Peter, and on this rock I will build My church, and the gates of Hades shall not prevail against it. Keep pressing on, keep serving God, and rest in the assurance God's power enables His work to continue! Isaiah 61:10
I will greatly rejoice in the Lord, My soul shall be joyful in my God; For He has clothed me with the garments of salvation, He has covered me with the robe of righteousness, As a bridegroom deckshimself with ornaments, And as a bride adorns herself with her jewels. Today I will greatly rejoice in the Lord! Today is a day of rest and rejoicing in all the Lord is and has done and ever will. Rejoice and again I say rejoice! Philippians 4:10-13
But I rejoiced in the Lord greatly that now at last your care for me has flourished again; though you surely did care, but you lacked opportunity. Not that I speak in regard to need, for I have learned in whatever state I am, to be content: I know how to be abased, and I know how to abound. Everywhere and in all things I have learned both to be full and to be hungry, both to abound and to suffer need. I can do all things through Christ[a] who strengthens me. The more we trust the Lord no matter what the circumstance the more we learn to be content. I pray for you readers today to learn contentment! Shalom! Exodus 33:14-23
And He said, “My Presence will go with you, and I will give you rest.” Then he said to Him, “If Your Presence does not go with us, do not bring us up from here. For how then will it be known that Your people and I have found grace in Your sight, except You go with us? So we shall be separate, Your people and I, from all the people who are upon the face of the earth.” So the Lord said to Moses, “I will also do this thing that you have spoken; for you have found grace in My sight, and I know you by name.” And he said, “Please, show me Your glory.” Then He said, “I will make all My goodness pass before you, and I will proclaim the name of the Lord before you. I will be gracious to whom I will be gracious, and I will have compassion on whom I will have compassion.” But He said, “You cannot see My face; for no man shall see Me, and live.” And the Lord said, “Here is a place by Me, and you shall stand on the rock. So it shall be, while My glory passes by, that I will put you in the cleft of the rock, and will cover you with My hand while I pass by. Then I will take away My hand, and you shall see My back; but My face shall not be seen.” God's presence is in and through us as we walk in His love and guidance. He will never leave us or forsake us. Keep your eyes upon Jesus today. Believe in Him, accept Him as Lord, walk in His ways, rejoice in His Presence, rest with Him! Isaiah 30:15(NKJV)
For thus says the Lord God, the Holy One of Israel: “In returning and rest you shall be saved; In quietness and confidence shall be your strength.” But you would not, Yes our strength is in quietness and confidence of our heavenly Father. His Word says "Be still and know that I am God". We need that quiet stillness and the confidence of God everyday in our life! Be blessed as you rest in Him. ![]() Psalm 23:2-3 He makes me to lie down in green pastures; He leads me beside the still waters. He restores my soul; He leads me in the paths of righteousness For His name’s sake. Exodus 20:8-11 “Remember the Sabbath day, to keep it holy. Six days you shall labor and do all your work, but the seventh day is the Sabbath of the Lord your God. In it you shall do no work: you, nor your son, nor your daughter, nor your male servant, nor your female servant, nor your cattle, nor your stranger who is within your gates. For in six days the Lord made the heavens and the earth, the sea, and all that isin them, and rested the seventh day. Therefore the Lord blessed the Sabbath day and hallowed it. The Lord is our "Good Shepard" he makes us lie down to rest. Thank you Lord as we rest you restore our soul for the task ahead. Psalm 23
The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want. He makes me to lie down in green pastures; He leads me beside the still waters. He restores my soul; He leads me in the paths of righteousness For His name’s sake. Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil; For You are with me; Your rod and Your staff, they comfort me. You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies; You anoint my head with oil; My cup runs over. Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me All the days of my life; And I will dwell in the house of the Lord Forever. The Lord makes us rest. We need to "rest" in Him daily not just when situations force us to. May we rejoice in His rest this Sabbath day! |
