Ecclesiastes 4:9-12
The Value of a Friend

Two are better than one,
Because they have a good reward for their labor.
For if they fall, one will lift up his companion.
But woe to him who is alone when he falls,
For he has no one to help him up.
Again, if two lie down together, they will keep warm;
But how can one be warm alone?
Though one may be overpowered by another, two can withstand him.
And a threefold cord is not quickly broken.
Are you a true friend? Do you encourage your friends?  No matter what the situation let's be encouragers.  The Word tells us Two are Better than One!  Where Two or more are gathered in Jesus Name HE is in the midst of them.  Let your friends know today that you care for them and are a TRUE FRIEND!

Who do YOU say that I am? #TheChrist

Matthew 16:13-20
13 When Jesus came into the region of Caesarea Philippi, He asked His disciples, saying, “Who do men say that I, the Son of Man, am?”
14 So they said, “Some say John the Baptist, some Elijah, and others Jeremiah or one of the prophets.”
15 He said to them, “But who do you say that I am?”
16 Simon Peter answered and said, “You are the Christ, the Son of the living God.”
17 Jesus answered and said to him, “Blessed are you, Simon Bar-Jonah, for flesh and blood has not revealed this to you, but My Father who is in heaven. 18 And I also say to you that you are Peter, and on this rock I will build My church, and the gates of Hades shall not prevail against it. 19 And I will give you the keys of the kingdom of heaven, and whatever you bind on earth will be bound in heaven, and whatever you loose on earth will be loosed in heaven.”
20 Then He commanded His disciples that they should tell no one that He was Jesus the Christ.

Jesus is still asking today "Who do YOU say I am?"  We need to know the answer to this question for ourselves, for others when they ask us, for Him!  Jesus is the same yesterday today and forever!  He is, He was, and He will forever BE!  Is He your Lord? Savior? Friend? Is His Word spoken in your life and His promises declared over your situations, trouble, trials, and JOY?  Make Christ the Son of the living God your answer today and everyday.  He loves you and is waiting for you to ask Him into your life.

We may not always see eye to eye the value of a true friend is what I have with my husband, Jess.  Two is always better than one!  He lifts me up and I am warm when I am with him.  As we stay together by the grace of God He is our third strand and we are not quickly broken.  I am looking forward to everyday I wake up with him.  #loveofmylife #myfriend #truefriendJesus

Are You Christ's Friend?

John 15:15-17
No longer do I call you servants, for a servant does not know what his master is doing; but I have called you friends, for all things that I heard from My Father I have made known to you. You did not choose Me, but I chose you and appointed you that you should go and bear fruit, and that your fruit should remain, that whatever you ask the Father in My name He may give you.  These things I command you, that you love one another.

We can be Christ's friend if we know Him and know His Father.  Once we know, believe, repent of our sins, we want to serve Him.  But when serving Him He calls us Friend.  What a privilege and honor be called friend of Jesus.  If you are His you are His friend!  Trust Christ today.

I Have No Lack!

Psalm 23
The Lord is my shepherd;
I shall not want.
He makes me to lie down in green pastures;
He leads me beside the still waters.
He restores my soul;
He leads me in the paths of righteousness
For His name’s sake.
Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death,
I will fear no evil;
For You are with me;
Your rod and Your staff, they comfort me.
You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies;
You anoint my head with oil;
My cup runs over.
Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me
All the days of my life;
And I will dwell in the house of the Lord
Forever.

Yes the Lord is my shepherd and I have NO Lack!  What a wonderful Birthday Yesterday and the party in Douglas on the 16th!  Wow I am blessed!  To God be the Glory!!!  Thank you all!

Love binds us together

Genesis 50:15-21
When Joseph’s brothers saw that their father was dead, they said, “Perhaps Joseph will hate us, and may actually repay us for all the evil which we did to him.” 16 So they sent messengers to Joseph, saying, “Before your father died he commanded, saying,  ‘Thus you shall say to Joseph: “I beg you, please forgive the trespass of your brothers and their sin; for they did evil to you.”’ Now, please, forgive the trespass of the servants of the God of your father.” And Joseph wept when they spoke to him.
Then his brothers also went and fell down before his face, and they said, “Behold, we are your servants.”
Joseph said to them, “Do not be afraid, for am I in the place of God?  But as for you, you meant evil against me; but God meant it for good, in order to bring it about as it is this day, to save many people alive.  Now therefore, do not be afraid; I will provide for you and your little ones.” And he comforted them and spoke kindly to them.

Anger builds walls of resentment and hate BUT (GOD) Love breaks them down and builds love!

Love your Neighbor

Mark 12:31
And the second, like it, is this: ‘You shall love your neighbor as yourself.’ There is no other commandment greater than these.”

Who is your neighbor?  The person next door?  The friend at work or play?  The stranger you haven't meet?  The enemy of your past?  I believe all of the above and more.  Will you choose to love not hate? To love not fight?  To love not judge?  To encourage not condemn?  To have compassion not pity?  To share your testimony of God's love not keep silent?  To be His witness to the nations?  The choice is yours!  What do you choose?

stir up love and good works

Hebrews 10:19-25
Therefore, brethren, having boldness to enter the Holiest by the blood of Jesus, by a new and living way which He consecrated for us, through the veil, that is, His flesh,  and having a High Priest over the house of God,  let us draw near with a true heart in full assurance of faith, having our hearts sprinkled from an evil conscience and our bodies washed with pure water. Let us hold fast the confession of our hope without wavering, for He who promised is faithful. And let us consider one another in order to stir up love and good works,  not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as is the manner of some, but exhorting one another, and so much the more as you see the Day approaching.

Hold Fast Your Confession of your hope!  As the body of Christ we are to help one another grow in Christlikeness.  No believer can function alone.  We need the community of believers so we can stir up love and good works.  Call a friend today or better yet make a personal appearance to share Christ's love.

Remembering your friends and lifting them up in prayer as well as encouraging them even by just listening keeps you as a "True Friend" to them.  God gave us 2 ears to listen with and only 1 mouth to speak.  Let's listen twice as much as we speak.  A "Friend" hears what the other is saying, waits, and then speaks, if necessary!  Remembering God is the third in the threefold cord.
