But the fruit of the spirit is love, joy, peace, forbearance, kiindness, goodness, FAITHFULNESS . . . Galatians 5:22
So what does being faithful mean to you? Here are a few definitions: steadfast in affection or allegiance :loyal, a faithful friend. Firm in adherence to promises or in observance of duty :conscientious a faithful employee, given with strong assurance :binding, a faithful promise, true to the facts, held to a standard. So let's see if we can bring this together. Being faithful means you are loyal, firm, true to self and true to Jesus and you hold yourself to the highest standard. Your word is just as binding as a contract. You are always conscientious, and unmovable in your belief of who Jesus is and what He did for us on the cross. When we walk in faithfulness, we know we can trust Him to have our back. #7FruitFaithfulness

Exodus 17:8-15
Now Amalek came and fought with Israel in Rephidim. And Moses said to Joshua, “Choose us some men and go out, fight with Amalek. Tomorrow I will stand on the top of the hill with the rod of God in my hand.” So Joshua did as Moses said to him, and fought with Amalek. And Moses, Aaron, and Hur went up to the top of the hill. And so it was, when Moses held up his hand, that Israel prevailed; and when he let down his hand, Amalek prevailed. But Moses’ hands became heavy; so they took a stone and put it under him, and he sat on it. And Aaron and Hur supported his hands, one on one side, and the other on the other side; and his hands were steady until the going down of the sun. So Joshua defeated Amalek and his people with the edge of the sword. Then the Lord said to Moses, “Write this for a memorial in the book and recount it in the hearing of Joshua, that I will utterly blot out the remembrance of Amalek from under heaven.” And Moses built an altar and called its name, The-Lord-Is-My-Banner. (Hebrew YHWH Nissi) The critical role that Hur and Aaron played in this point in history reminds us the unseen heroes do matter. That people who support us and encourage us play a key role that should not be overlooked. People who intercede for us bring a word of encouragement or show kindness are very very important to us. Unseen heroes are always seen by God! Father thank you for all the unseen heroes in my life and in the ministry of Bible Reading (BRMI). #BRMIHeroes Proverbs 8:32-36
“Now therefore, listen to me, my children, For blessed are those who keep my ways. 33 Hear instruction and be wise, And do not disdain it. 34 Blessed is the man who listens to me, Watching daily at my gates, Waiting at the posts of my doors. 35 For whoever finds me finds life, And obtains favor from the Lord; 36 But he who sins against me wrongs his own soul; All those who hate me love death.” As we (Hear) listen to the Word of the Lord it gives us instruction to be wise. We are blessed if we keep His ways. We find life by listening, watching and waiting on the Lord. In that giving of life we obtain favor. But those who hate God love death and it's sin causes sorrow to the Lord. He loves each of us and wants us to keep His ways for our benefit. #HearBeWise Proverbs 5:15-20
15 Drink water from your own cistern, And running water from your own well. 16 Should your fountains be dispersed abroad, Streams of water in the streets? 17 Let them be only your own, And not for strangers with you. 18 Let your fountain be blessed, And rejoice with the wife of your youth. 19 As a loving deer and a graceful doe, Let her breasts satisfy you at all times; And always be enraptured with her love. 20 For why should you, my son, be enraptured by an immoral woman, And be embraced in the arms of a seductress? God is not against sex, God created men and women as sexual beings. God's specific plan for sexual activity is within a marriage relationship. Here God encourages a positive sexual relationship with wife of his youth. He is told to rejoice and be satisfied with her. Maximum love can only be fulfilled in a faithful marriage. Be committed and content with your marriage. #FaithfulMarriage Psalm 27:6-10
6 And now my head shall be lifted up above my enemies all around me; Therefore I will offer sacrifices of joy in His tabernacle; I will sing, yes, I will sing praises to the Lord. 7 Hear, O Lord, when I cry with my voice! Have mercy also upon me, and answer me. 8 When You said, “Seek My face,” My heart said to You, “Your face, Lord, I will seek.” 9 Do not hide Your face from me; Do not turn Your servant away in anger; You have been my help; Do not leave me nor forsake me, O God of my salvation. 10 When my father and my mother forsake me, Then the Lord will take care of me. The Lord will take care of you, even if your mother or father forsake you God will not. He hears our cry. He has mercy on us. He will not turn His servant away. Oh sing praises to our God! Lift your voice and give Him glory! Psalm 40:1-5
Faith Persevering in TrialTo the Chief Musician. A Psalm of David. 40 I waited patiently for the Lord; And He inclined to me, And heard my cry. 2 He also brought me up out of a horrible pit, Out of the miry clay, And set my feet upon a rock, And established my steps. 3 He has put a new song in my mouth-- Praise to our God; Many will see it and fear, And will trust in the Lord. 4 Blessed is that man who makes the Lord his trust, And does not respect the proud, nor such as turn aside to lies. 5 Many, O Lord my God, are Your wonderful works Which You have done; And Your thoughts toward us Cannot be recounted to You in order; If I would declare and speak of them, They are more than can be numbered. I love to count things unconsciously I am counting what a do when I do a number of things. Like how many seconds I hold my curling iron on my hair to set the curl. Or how many items I am folding when folding clothes. If I could count the many blessings from God, as the scripture says it would be more than can be numbered. But I wonder how many blessings do we DECLARE AND SPEAK of to others or even out loud to ourselves and God. There's a song "Count your many blessing count them one by one and see what the Lord has done". I challenge you today to count your blessings even for 24 hours and see what the Lord has done for you THEN share the testimony with others! #CountMyBlessings #DeclareMyBlessings #FaithPerservering Romans 4:18-25
18 who, contrary to hope, in hope believed, so that he became the father of many nations, according to what was spoken, “So shall your descendants be.” 19 And not being weak in faith, he did not consider his own body, already dead (since he was about a hundred years old), and the deadness of Sarah’s womb. 20 He did not waver at the promise of God through unbelief, but was strengthened in faith, giving glory to God, 21 and being fully convinced that what He had promised He was also able to perform. 22 And therefore “it was accounted to him for righteousness.” 23 Now it was not written for his sake alone that it was imputed to him, 24 but also for us. It shall be imputed to us who believe in Him who raised up Jesus our Lord from the dead, 25 who was delivered up because of our offenses, and was raised because of our justification. Abraham did not waver through unbelief regarding the promise of God, but was strengthened in his faith and gave glory to God. Yes we too need faith but in whom? Faith in ourselves? Faith in things? Faith in the Word of God? We are overcomers IF we do not waver in unbelief regarding God's promises. Faith comes by hearing the Word of God! #GodsPromises #FaithfromGod Revelation 2:12-17
The Compromising Church “And to the angel of the church in Pergamos write, ‘These things says He who has the sharp two-edged sword: “I know your works, and where you dwell, where Satan’s throne is. And you hold fast to My name, and did not deny My faith even in the days in which Antipas was My faithful martyr, who was killed among you, where Satan dwells. But I have a few things against you, because you have there those who hold the doctrine of Balaam, who taught Balak to put a stumbling block before the children of Israel, to eat things sacrificed to idols, and to commit sexual immorality. Thus you also have those who hold the doctrine of the Nicolaitans, which thing I hate. Repent, or else I will come to you quickly and will fight against them with the sword of My mouth. “He who has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says to the churches. To him who overcomes I will give some of the hidden manna to eat. And I will give him a white stone, and on the stone a new name written which no one knows except him who receives it.”’ Upon receiving Christ and being an overcomer we have a "New Name"! Here the Lord promises to give the faithful a white stone. This points to our freedom in Christ a "non guilty" verdict. Who do you know that needs that "white stone"? Is the Lord asking you to speak and share His love with someone today? #NotGuilty #overcomer #OurNewName #ChristinYou 1 Chronicles 17:16
“Who am I, O Lord God? And what is my house, that You have brought me this far? We all have dreams and goals but what is more important --achieving our hopes and dreams or our love for God? Father, I commit all my hopes and dreams to You. Thank you for bringing me this far. You mean more to me than anything in the world. Genesis 39:1-12
Now Joseph had been taken down to Egypt. And Potiphar, an officer of Pharaoh, captain of the guard, an Egyptian, bought him from the Ishmaelites who had taken him down there. The Lord was with Joseph, and he was a successful man; and he was in the house of his master the Egyptian. And his master saw that the Lord was with him and that the Lord made all he did to prosper in his hand. So Joseph found favor in his sight, and served him. Then he made him overseer of his house, and all that he had he put under his authority. So it was, from the time that he had made him overseer of his house and all that he had, that the Lord blessed the Egyptian’s house for Joseph’s sake; and the blessing of the Lord was on all that he had in the house and in the field. Thus he left all that he had in Joseph’s hand, and he did not know what he had except for the bread which he ate. Now Joseph was handsome in form and appearance. And it came to pass after these things that his master’s wife cast longing eyes on Joseph, and she said, “Lie with me.” But he refused and said to his master’s wife, “Look, my master does not know what is with me in the house, and he has committed all that he has to my hand. There is no one greater in this house than I, nor has he kept back anything from me but you, because you are his wife. How then can I do this great wickedness, and sin against God?” So it was, as she spoke to Joseph day by day, that he did not heed her, to lie with her or to be with her. But it happened about this time, when Joseph went into the house to do his work, and none of the men of the house was inside, that she caught him by his garment, saying, “Lie with me.” But he left his garment in her hand, and fled and ran outside. When temptation knocks at our door, sometimes we must "just walk away". Joseph was tempted by Potipher's wife, but he knew if he gave into temptation he would sin against God. Paul tells us in 1 COR. 10:13 God is faithful; he will not let us be tempted beyond what we can bear. He will provide a way out so we can endure it. #Temptation #WalkAway #GodProvidesaWay |
