Job 38:1-11
The Lord Reveals His Omnipotence to Job Then the Lord answered Job out of the whirlwind, and said: “Who is this who darkens counsel By words without knowledge? Now prepare yourself like a man; I will question you, and you shall answer Me. “Where were you when I laid the foundations of the earth? Tell Me, if you have understanding. Who determined its measurements? Surely you know! Or who stretched the line upon it? To what were its foundations fastened? Or who laid its cornerstone, When the morning stars sang together, And all the sons of God shouted for joy? “Or who shut in the sea with doors, When it burst forth and issued from the womb; When I made the clouds its garment, And thick darkness its swaddling band; When I fixed My limit for it, And set bars and doors; When I said, ‘This far you may come, but no farther, And here your proud waves must stop!’ Are we proud like Job when he asked God why? Or are we humbled when we realize God's omnipotence. All that the Lord did in creation and still does today we should be humble and in awe of an almighty God. Is there anything we can do without the Lord? No we are nothing without Him. But with Him we are able to withstand the enemy, hear from Him, and obey His commands. We must stop being proud and recognize the power of God. We must submit to His ways and follow His path of righteousness.

Daniel 1:8-15
8 But Daniel purposed in his heart that he would not defile himself with the portion of the king’s delicacies, nor with the wine which he drank; therefore he requested of the chief of the eunuchs that he might not defile himself. 9 Now God had brought Daniel into the favor and goodwill of the chief of the eunuchs. 10 And the chief of the eunuchs said to Daniel, “I fear my lord the king, who has appointed your food and drink. For why should he see your faces looking worse than the young men who are your age? Then you would endanger my head before the king.” 11 So Daniel said to the steward whom the chief of the eunuchs had set over Daniel, Hananiah, Mishael, and Azariah, 12 “Please test your servants for ten days, and let them give us vegetables to eat and water to drink. 13 Then let our appearance be examined before you, and the appearance of the young men who eat the portion of the king’s delicacies; and as you see fit, so deal with your servants.” 14 So he consented with them in this matter, and tested them ten days. 15 And at the end of ten days their features appeared better and fatter in flesh than all the young men who ate the portion of the king’s delicacies. Have you purposed in your heart to obey God? Daniel chose not to defile himself but obey God. He had favor and goodwill given by the Lord and was given the opportunity to prove his obedience to God would bring about good. His test proved he was fit for the work of the Lord. Read the "Rest of the Story" in Daniel 2 to see how the Lord used Daniel and how God was glorified in the changing of lives. You 2 can be used by God if we purpose in our heart to obey God and follow through with the actions. #Obedience #GlorifiytheLord #FavorwithGodandMan Galatians 5:16-23
16 I say then: Walk in the Spirit, and you shall not fulfill the lust of the flesh. 17 For the flesh lusts against the Spirit, and the Spirit against the flesh; and these are contrary to one another, so that you do not do the things that you wish. 18 But if you are led by the Spirit, you are not under the law. 19 Now the works of the flesh are evident, which are: adultery, fornication, uncleanness, lewdness, 20 idolatry, sorcery, hatred, contentions, jealousies, outbursts of wrath, selfish ambitions, dissensions, heresies, 21 envy, murders, drunkenness, revelries, and the like; of which I tell you beforehand, just as I also told you in time past, that those who practice such things will not inherit the kingdom of God. 22 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, 23 gentleness, self-control. Against such there is no law. Yes everyday we can choose to be ready for change. Some days it is very evident we must change in order for our circumstances to change. We must choose to "Walk in the Spirit". If we walk in the spirit and NOT fulfill the lust of the flesh, we will experience the fruit of the Spirit. Self control is one fruit that shows me IF I am walking in the spirit or lusting after the flesh. Are you ready for change? Have you checked your walk today? You can choose to let the fruits be fulfilled in your life so others will see Christ's victory in you life OR you can choose to stay in the same rut! #WalkintheSpirit #Ready4Change #SelfControl Psalm 59:16-17
But I will sing of Your power; Yes, I will sing aloud of Your mercy in the morning; For You have been my defense And refuge in the day of my trouble. To You, O my Strength, I will sing praises; For God is my defense, My God of mercy. Did you begin your day right today? David knew the right way to begin his day. Through worshiping and singing out loud about God's goodness, David wanted to walk in God's presence from the moment he got out of bed. He wanted to be clothed in God's power and strength. David wrote this under incredible pressure but he had learned the power that can be released when we worship God, even in the midst of trouble. #RightWay #WorshiptheLord #HisStrength 1 Timothy 4:13-16
Until I come, pay attention to the public reading of the Scriptures. Do not neglect your gift, which you were given through a prophecy when the body of elders gave you s’mikhah. Be diligent about this work, throw yourself into it, so that your progress may be clear to everyone. Pay attention to yourself and to the teaching, continue in it, for by so doing you will deliver both yourself and those who hear you. Here we are told to pay attention to the Public reading of the scripture. Bible Reading Ministry International's vision is to take marathons to the world. The seed planted in Wyoming grown in Arkansas is now being declared in many parts of the world. Be must be diligent in this work so that His plan may be clear to everyone. We must continue in it, Thanks for your help through ArkansasGives.org yesterday. May many more catch the vision and help in this God sized task. #publicreading #scripturereadoutloud #godsizetask #HolySpiritmoves 1 Corinthians 9:24-27
Striving for a Crown Do you not know that those who run in a race all run, but one receives the prize? Run in such a way that you may obtain it. And everyone who competes for the prize is temperate in all things. Now they do it to obtain a perishable crown, but we for an imperishable crown. Therefore I run thus: not with uncertainty. Thus I fight: not as one who beats the air. But I discipline my body and bring it into subjection, lest, when I have preached to others, I myself should become disqualified. Learning self discipline and endurance is not only for the athlete but for the Christian who is running the race for a perishable crown. We must bring our minds, words and body into subjection for the victory run. As you speak His Words in belief of subjection your body will line up if we faint not! Run your race with fervency of the power of God's blessings. Ephesians 1:1
Paul, an apostle of Jesus Christ by the will of God, To the saints who are in Ephesus, and faithful in Christ Jesus: Psalm 16:3 As for the saints who are on the earth, “They are the excellent ones, in whom is all my delight.” 1 Corinthians 1:2 To the church of God which is at Corinth, to those who are sanctified in Christ Jesus, called to be saints, with all who in every place call on the name of Jesus Christ our Lord, both theirs and ours: Who I am in Christ? The Word tells us we are a saint. Like Paul if we are an apostle of Christ; As a saint on earth the Lord delights in us. Oh to be a saint through the Lord Jesus Christ. You too can be a saint today trust in Christ. 2 Timothy 3:10-17
But you have carefully followed my doctrine, manner of life, purpose, faith, long suffering, love, perseverance, persecutions, afflictions, which happened to me at Antioch, at Iconium, at Lystra—what persecutions I endured. And out of them all the Lord delivered me. Yes, and all who desire to live godly in Christ Jesus will suffer persecution. But evil men and impostors will grow worse and worse, deceiving and being deceived. But you must continue in the things which you have learned and been assured of, knowing from whom you have learned them, and that from childhood you have known the Holy Scriptures, which are able to make you wise for salvation through faith which is in Christ Jesus. All Scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness, that the man of God may be complete, thoroughly equipped for every good work. The man or woman of God, Is that you? If you the Word of God will complete you! Read, hear and obey! You shall be equipped for every good work He has for you to accomplish. Ephesians 4:29-5:2
Let no corrupt word proceed out of your mouth, but what is good for necessary edification, that it may impart grace to the hearers. And do not grieve the Holy Spirit of God, by whom you were sealed for the day of redemption. Let all bitterness, wrath, anger, clamor, and evil speaking be put away from you, with all malice. And be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, even as God in Christ forgave you. Therefore be imitators of God as dear children. And walk in love, as Christ also has loved us and given Himself for us, an offering and a sacrifice to God for a sweet-smelling aroma. We are instructed to walk in the way of Love..... In what ways have you learned to love others??? What action can you take to grow in love???? Keep your words soft and gentle or not at all. Forgive before retaliation and do not react in anger. Love unconditionally no matter what the situation. These are my answers what's yours? Exodus 20:12
“Honor your father and your mother, that your days may be long upon the land which the Lord your God is giving you. Deuteronomy 5:16 ‘Honor your father and your mother, as the Lord your God has commanded you, that your days may be long, and that it may be well with you in the land which the Lord your God is giving you. Matthew 15:4 For God commanded, saying, ‘Honor your father and your mother’; and, ‘He who curses father or mother, let him be put to death.’ Ephesians 6:2 “Honor your father and mother,” which is the first commandment with promise: Old or New testament we are to Honor our Mother! In doing so we will be blessed, live long, and receive God's promise land! Woe to those who do NOT honor their mother...... HAVE A WONDERFUL MOTHER'S DAY MOM!!!! We love you! |
