1 Peter 3:8-16
Finally, all of you be of one mind, having compassion for one another; love as brothers, be tenderhearted, be courteous; not returning evil for evil or reviling for reviling, but on the contrary blessing, knowing that you were called to this, that you may inherit a blessing. For “He who would love life And see good days, Let him refrain his tongue from evil, And his lips from speaking deceit. Let him turn away from evil and do good; Let him seek peace and pursue it. For the eyes of the Lord are on the righteous, And His ears are open to their prayers; But the face of the Lord is against those who do evil. ”And who is he who will harm you if you become followers of what is good? But even if you should suffer for righteousness’ sake, you are blessed. “And do not be afraid of their threats, nor be troubled.” But sanctify the Lord God in your hearts, and always be ready to give a defense to everyone who asks you a reason for the hope that is in you, with meekness and fear; having a good conscience, that when they defame you as evildoers, those who revile your good conduct in Christ may be ashamed. It is good to fellowship with God's family, our family and friends but we must ALWAYS BE READY to give account for our hope in Jesus. We may suffer for righteousness' sake but remember You are Blessed. When the angel came to Mary his words were "Fear Not". When trials or tribulation come, suffering or discouragement, "Fear Not"! The eyes of the Lord are on the righteous and His ears are open to their prayers. Mary was looking at the angle of the Lord but you may be looking at someone who is saying or doing all kinds of evit towards you. Fear Not! Have compassion, be courteous, do not return evil for evil or reviling for reviling. Refrain from evil and seek peace and pursue it.

Daniel 1:8-15
8 But Daniel purposed in his heart that he would not defile himself with the portion of the king’s delicacies, nor with the wine which he drank; therefore he requested of the chief of the eunuchs that he might not defile himself. 9 Now God had brought Daniel into the favor and goodwill of the chief of the eunuchs. 10 And the chief of the eunuchs said to Daniel, “I fear my lord the king, who has appointed your food and drink. For why should he see your faces looking worse than the young men who are your age? Then you would endanger my head before the king.” 11 So Daniel said to the steward whom the chief of the eunuchs had set over Daniel, Hananiah, Mishael, and Azariah, 12 “Please test your servants for ten days, and let them give us vegetables to eat and water to drink. 13 Then let our appearance be examined before you, and the appearance of the young men who eat the portion of the king’s delicacies; and as you see fit, so deal with your servants.” 14 So he consented with them in this matter, and tested them ten days. 15 And at the end of ten days their features appeared better and fatter in flesh than all the young men who ate the portion of the king’s delicacies. Have you purposed in your heart to obey God? Daniel chose not to defile himself but obey God. He had favor and goodwill given by the Lord and was given the opportunity to prove his obedience to God would bring about good. His test proved he was fit for the work of the Lord. Read the "Rest of the Story" in Daniel 2 to see how the Lord used Daniel and how God was glorified in the changing of lives. You 2 can be used by God if we purpose in our heart to obey God and follow through with the actions. #Obedience #GlorifiytheLord #FavorwithGodandMan Romans 4:17
(As it is written, “I have made you a father of many nations”) in the presence of Him whom he believed—God, who gives life to the dead and calls those things which do not exist as though they did; God calls those things that are not manifest as though they were manifest. Compare this with 1 Corinthians 1:28 and the base things of the world and the things which are despised God has chosen, and the things which are not, to bring to nothing the things that are, THIS IS GOD'S Method! We also must call for eternal forces that put to naught thing that are seen. Call into manifestation the things that are not, and they will replace what "IS" manifest. Paul said we should overcome evil with good. Can you start doing this? Let's try to believe and call into manifestation what is good. #eviltogood #GodsMethod #wordofGod Genesis 39:1-12
Now Joseph had been taken down to Egypt. And Potiphar, an officer of Pharaoh, captain of the guard, an Egyptian, bought him from the Ishmaelites who had taken him down there. The Lord was with Joseph, and he was a successful man; and he was in the house of his master the Egyptian. And his master saw that the Lord was with him and that the Lord made all he did to prosper in his hand. So Joseph found favor in his sight, and served him. Then he made him overseer of his house, and all that he had he put under his authority. So it was, from the time that he had made him overseer of his house and all that he had, that the Lord blessed the Egyptian’s house for Joseph’s sake; and the blessing of the Lord was on all that he had in the house and in the field. Thus he left all that he had in Joseph’s hand, and he did not know what he had except for the bread which he ate. Now Joseph was handsome in form and appearance. And it came to pass after these things that his master’s wife cast longing eyes on Joseph, and she said, “Lie with me.” But he refused and said to his master’s wife, “Look, my master does not know what is with me in the house, and he has committed all that he has to my hand. There is no one greater in this house than I, nor has he kept back anything from me but you, because you are his wife. How then can I do this great wickedness, and sin against God?” So it was, as she spoke to Joseph day by day, that he did not heed her, to lie with her or to be with her. But it happened about this time, when Joseph went into the house to do his work, and none of the men of the house was inside, that she caught him by his garment, saying, “Lie with me.” But he left his garment in her hand, and fled and ran outside. When temptation knocks at our door, sometimes we must "just walk away". Joseph was tempted by Potipher's wife, but he knew if he gave into temptation he would sin against God. Paul tells us in 1 COR. 10:13 God is faithful; he will not let us be tempted beyond what we can bear. He will provide a way out so we can endure it. #Temptation #WalkAway #GodProvidesaWay Exodus 14:12-16
Is this not the word that we told you in Egypt, saying, ‘Let us alone that we may serve the Egyptians’? For it would have been better for us to serve the Egyptians than that we should die in the wilderness.” And Moses said to the people, “Do not be afraid. Stand still, and see the salvation of the Lord, which He will accomplish for you today. For the Egyptians whom you see today, you shall see again no more forever. The Lord will fight for you, and you shall hold your peace.” And the Lord said to Moses, “Why do you cry to Me? Tell the children of Israel to go forward. But lift up your rod, and stretch out your hand over the sea and divide it. And the children of Israel shall go on dry ground through the midst of the sea. It takes courage to stand still and see what the Lord is doing. When we don't see any result immediate or long term we must have courage to "Be" still and continue in prayer and reading the Word, Bible. The Lord is always at work for us and through us if we stand strong in faith. The Egyptians we afraid and wanted to run NOT wait and have courage for the Lord to bring miraculous wonders to them. We must have courage, stand still for the glory of the Lord to appear! Isaiah 41:10
Fear not, for I am with you; Be not dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you, Yes, I will help you, I will uphold you with My righteous right hand.’ A New Year dawns and we can walk in "fear" or "faith. 365 times in the Bible the Lord tells us "FEAR NOT"! We must not be afraid of trials or tribulation but have FAITH in God! He is the overcomer and greater is He in me and you than He in the world. Exodus 4:10-17
Then Moses said to the Lord, “O my Lord, I am not eloquent, neither before nor since You have spoken to Your servant; but I am slow of speech and slow of tongue.” So the Lord said to him, “Who has made man’s mouth? Or who makes the mute, the deaf, the seeing, or the blind? Have not I, the Lord? Now therefore, go, and I will be with your mouth and teach you what you shall say.” But he said, “O my Lord, please send by the hand of whomever else You may send.” So the anger of the Lord was kindled against Moses, and He said: “Is not Aaron the Levite your brother? I know that he can speak well. And look, he is also coming out to meet you. When he sees you, he will be glad in his heart. Now you shall speak to him and put the words in his mouth. And I will be with your mouth and with his mouth, and I will teach you what you shall do. So he shall be your spokesman to the people. And he himself shall be as a mouth for you, and you shall be to him as God. And you shall take this rod in your hand, with which you shall do the signs.” When we are called to a task for the Lord and we like Moses feel inadequate, we must believe that the Lord who made us and called us will give us all that we need to complete His plan. We must not be discouraged or slack in believing, receiving or doing His will. Keep the faith. Trust and obey! Numbers 13:30-33
Then Caleb quieted the people before Moses, and said, “Let us go up at once and take possession, for we are well able to overcome it.” But the men who had gone up with him said, “We are not able to go up against the people, for they are stronger than we.” And they gave the children of Israel a bad report of the land which they had spied out, saying, “The land through which we have gone as spies is a land that devours its inhabitants, and all the people whom we saw in it are men of great stature. There we saw the giants (the descendants of Anak came from the giants); and we were like grasshoppers in our own sight, and so we were in their sight.” Has the Lord set you on a conquest? Are you wondering what the cost will be? will it be worth the risk? In 1999 god sent us on a conquest to plant seeds around the USA. Little then did we realize what the full impact would be on our life and the lives of many we didn't know. Did we see the Promised Land as good like Caleb? Yes! Were we afraid of the challenge? Yes! Did we count the cost? No! We realized as did Joshua and Caleb that with the Lord "All things are possible." We took the risk and God is faithful! The wonders we have seen are amazing! The work the Lord has done in us is TRANSFORMING! You too can allow God's conquest in you transform your life and many others IF you are willing to hear and obey Him. Carry on my friends No Conquest is without Risk! Deuteronomy 31:7-8
Then Moses called Joshua and said to him in the sight of all Israel, “Be strong and of good courage, for you must go with this people to the land which the Lord has sworn to their fathers to give them, and you shall cause them to inherit it. And the Lord, He is the One who goes before you. He will be with you, He will not leave you nor forsake you; do not fear nor be dismayed.” Are you a Joshua? Has God called you to be a leader in your land? 'BE STRONG AND OF GOOD COURAGE'! The Lord goes before you! He will be with you! He will not leave you or forsake you! We must trust Hi. Be willing and obedient to answer His call! Isaiah 49:8-11
Thus says the Lord: “In an acceptable time I have heard You, And in the day of salvation I have helped You; I will preserve You and give You As a covenant to the people, To restore the earth, To cause them to inherit the desolate heritages; That You may say to the prisoners, ‘Go forth,’ To those who are in darkness, ‘Show yourselves.’ “They shall feed along the roads, And their pastures shall be on all desolate heights. They shall neither hunger nor thirst, Neither heat nor sun shall strike them; For He who has mercy on them will lead them, Even by the springs of water He will guide them. I will make each of My mountains a road, And My highways shall be elevated. For such as time as this the Lord has head our cry! He has helped us. He will preserve us and give us as a covenant to the people. There is a time to restore the earth. We must tell those in darkness to "Go Forth" and "Show Yourselves". He who has mercy on them, He WILL lead them. |
