Ecclesiastes 4:9-12
The Value of a Friend Two are better than one, Because they have a good reward for their labor. For if they fall, one will lift up his companion. But woe to him who is alone when he falls, For he has no one to help him up. Again, if two lie down together, they will keep warm; But how can one be warm alone? Though one may be overpowered by another, two can withstand him. And a threefold cord is not quickly broken. Are you a true friend? Do you encourage your friends? No matter what the situation let's be encouragers. The Word tells us Two are Better than One! Where Two or more are gathered in Jesus Name HE is in the midst of them. Let your friends know today that you care for them and are a TRUE FRIEND! Matthew 6:8-13
8 “Therefore do not be like them. For your Father knows the things you have need of before you ask Him. 9 In this manner, therefore, pray: Our Father in heaven, Hallowed be Your name. 10 Your kingdom come. Your will be done On earth as it is in heaven. 11 Give us this day our daily bread. 12 And forgive us our debts, As we forgive our debtors. 13 And do not lead us into temptation, But deliver us from the evil one. For Yours is the kingdom and the power and the glory forever. Amen Our Father, God is good all the time and all the time Our Father, God is good! Seek FIRST His kingdom and all things will be added to you. Because of our Father and YOU we are truly blessed to be a blessing! Exodus 17:8-15
Now Amalek came and fought with Israel in Rephidim. And Moses said to Joshua, “Choose us some men and go out, fight with Amalek. Tomorrow I will stand on the top of the hill with the rod of God in my hand.” So Joshua did as Moses said to him, and fought with Amalek. And Moses, Aaron, and Hur went up to the top of the hill. And so it was, when Moses held up his hand, that Israel prevailed; and when he let down his hand, Amalek prevailed. But Moses’ hands became heavy; so they took a stone and put it under him, and he sat on it. And Aaron and Hur supported his hands, one on one side, and the other on the other side; and his hands were steady until the going down of the sun. So Joshua defeated Amalek and his people with the edge of the sword. Then the Lord said to Moses, “Write this for a memorial in the book and recount it in the hearing of Joshua, that I will utterly blot out the remembrance of Amalek from under heaven.” And Moses built an altar and called its name, The-Lord-Is-My-Banner. (Hebrew YHWH Nissi) The critical role that Hur and Aaron played in this point in history reminds us the unseen heroes do matter. That people who support us and encourage us play a key role that should not be overlooked. People who intercede for us bring a word of encouragement or show kindness are very very important to us. Unseen heroes are always seen by God! Father thank you for all the unseen heroes in my life and in the ministry of Bible Reading (BRMI). #BRMIHeroes ![]() 1 Peter 3:8-12 Finally, all of you be of one mind, having compassion for one another; love as brothers, be tenderhearted, be courteous; not returning evil for evil or reviling for reviling, but on the contrary blessing, knowing that you were called to this, that you may inherit a blessing. For “He who would love life And see good days, Let him refrain his tongue from evil, And his lips from speaking deceit. Let him turn away from evil and do good; Let him seek peace and pursue it. For the eyes of the Lord are on the righteous, And His ears are open to their prayers; But the face of the Lord is against those who do evil The best gift we can give every day is to be a blessing! Have compassion one for another. Be tenderhearted, be courteous, love one another! Do good, seek peace! Refrain your tongue from evil.....give words of praise! Psalm 40:1-5
Faith Persevering in TrialTo the Chief Musician. A Psalm of David. 40 I waited patiently for the Lord; And He inclined to me, And heard my cry. 2 He also brought me up out of a horrible pit, Out of the miry clay, And set my feet upon a rock, And established my steps. 3 He has put a new song in my mouth-- Praise to our God; Many will see it and fear, And will trust in the Lord. 4 Blessed is that man who makes the Lord his trust, And does not respect the proud, nor such as turn aside to lies. 5 Many, O Lord my God, are Your wonderful works Which You have done; And Your thoughts toward us Cannot be recounted to You in order; If I would declare and speak of them, They are more than can be numbered. I love to count things unconsciously I am counting what a do when I do a number of things. Like how many seconds I hold my curling iron on my hair to set the curl. Or how many items I am folding when folding clothes. If I could count the many blessings from God, as the scripture says it would be more than can be numbered. But I wonder how many blessings do we DECLARE AND SPEAK of to others or even out loud to ourselves and God. There's a song "Count your many blessing count them one by one and see what the Lord has done". I challenge you today to count your blessings even for 24 hours and see what the Lord has done for you THEN share the testimony with others! #CountMyBlessings #DeclareMyBlessings #FaithPerservering Psalm 142
A Plea for Relief from Persecutors I cry out to the Lord with my voice; With my voice to the Lord I make my supplication. I pour out my complaint before Him; I declare before Him my trouble. When my spirit was overwhelmed within me, Then You knew my path. In the way in which I walk They have secretly set a snare for me. Look on my right hand and see, For there is no one who acknowledges me; Refuge has failed me; No one cares for my soul. I cried out to You, O Lord: I said, “You are my refuge, My portion in the land of the living. Attend to my cry, For I am brought very low; Deliver me from my persecutors, For they are stronger than I. Bring my soul out of prison, That I may praise Your name; The righteous shall surround me, For You shall deal bountifully with me.” Have you cried out to the Lord? Are you felling persecuted today by family, friends, other believers? Pour our your heart to God. He knows how you feel. But know that God loves you and is waiting for you to ask Him for relief. Why? So when relief comes we know it's from the Lord. We will praise Him as He gives us strength to carry on. We show Him our love for Him by forgiving our persecutors, praying for them and being filled with joy and peace knowing He is in control and "All is well". The Lord is our deliverer, our provider, our strength, and our refuge. Be a blessing and you will be blessed. #Persecuted #Forgiven #Delivered #BeaBlessing #BeBlessed Genesis 5:1-3
This is the book of the genealogy of Adam. In the day that God created man, He made him in the likeness of God. He created them male and female, and blessed them and called them Mankind in the day they were created. Honoring God by reading His Word together with family is a double blessing. As we celebrate Jesus and His resurrection let us be with family as was His plan from the beginning. That is the theme of our float in the Celebrate Jesus parade this weekend. May we continue the celebration each day! Luke 8:40-48
So it was, when Jesus returned, that the multitude welcomed Him, for they were all waiting for Him. And behold, there came a man named Jairus, and he was a ruler of the synagogue. And he fell down at Jesus’ feet and begged Him to come to his house, for he had an only daughter about twelve years of age, and she was dying. But as He went, the multitudes thronged Him. Now a woman, having a flow of blood for twelve years, who had spent all her livelihood on physicians and could not be healed by any, came from behind and touched the border of His garment. And immediately her flow of blood stopped. And Jesus said, “Who touched Me?” When all denied it, Peter and those with him said, “Master, the multitudes throng and press You, and You say, ‘Who touched Me?’” But Jesus said, “Somebody touched Me, for I perceived power going out from Me.” Now when the woman saw that she was not hidden, she came trembling; and falling down before Him, she declared to Him in the presence of all the people the reason she had touched Him and how she was healed immediately. And He said to her, “Daughter, be of good cheer; your faith has made you well. Go in peace.” We sometimes say I need my "personal space", because we want privacy BUT.. the only way we can help a world of hurting people to to let them get close enough to be touched by encouragement, comfort, and grace of Christ in us. A Christian life is the window through which others can see Jesus. We all need a touch from the Lord. Are you willing to be His vessel today? Psalm 23
The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want. He makes me to lie down in green pastures; He leads me beside the still waters. He restores my soul; He leads me in the paths of righteousness For His name’s sake. Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil; For You are with me; Your rod and Your staff, they comfort me. You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies; You anoint my head with oil; My cup runs over. Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me All the days of my life; And I will dwell in the house of the Lord Forever. Yes the Lord is my shepherd and I have NO Lack! What a wonderful Birthday Yesterday and the party in Douglas on the 16th! Wow I am blessed! To God be the Glory!!! Thank you all! |
