Psalm 119:9-16
9 How can a young man cleanse his way? By taking heed according to Your word. 10 With my whole heart I have sought You; Oh, let me not wander from Your commandments! 11 Your word I have hidden in my heart, That I might not sin against You. 12 Blessed are You, O Lord! Teach me Your statutes. 13 With my lips I have declared All the judgments of Your mouth. 14 I have rejoiced in the way of Your testimonies, As much as in all riches. 15 I will meditate on Your precepts, And contemplate Your ways. 16 I will delight myself in Your statutes; I will not forget Your word. ![]() 1 Peter 3:8-12 Finally, all of you be of one mind, having compassion for one another; love as brothers, be tenderhearted, be courteous; not returning evil for evil or reviling for reviling, but on the contrary blessing, knowing that you were called to this, that you may inherit a blessing. For “He who would love life And see good days, Let him refrain his tongue from evil, And his lips from speaking deceit. Let him turn away from evil and do good; Let him seek peace and pursue it. For the eyes of the Lord are on the righteous, And His ears are open to their prayers; But the face of the Lord is against those who do evil The best gift we can give every day is to be a blessing! Have compassion one for another. Be tenderhearted, be courteous, love one another! Do good, seek peace! Refrain your tongue from evil.....give words of praise! Ecclesiastes 5:18-20
Here is what I have seen: It is good and fitting for one to eat and drink, and to enjoy the good of all his labor in which he toils under the sun all the days of his life which God gives him; for it is his heritage. As for every man to whom God has given riches and wealth, and given him power to eat of it, to receive his heritage and rejoice in his labor—this is the gift of God. For he will not dwell unduly on the days of his life, because God keeps him busy with the joy of his heart. God wants His people to enjoy their lives. It is true that He has a plan and a purpose for you, which includes ministry and outreach to others; but God also wants His people to enjoy the blessings He has given them. God wants His people to relax and enjoy the fruit of their hard work. True spirituality is not just defined by praying, reading the Bible, going o church. It is also spiritual to enjoy the life you have as a gift from God. This is all said AFTER the verses 8-17 where it talks about the vanity of Gain and Honor. Our love for the Lord brings joy to our heart and God keeps us busy doing His will. Colossians 3:12-17
Therefore, as the elect of God, holy and beloved, put on tender mercies, kindness, humility, meekness, longsuffering; bearing with one another, and forgiving one another, if anyone has a complaint against another; even as Christ forgave you, so you also must do. But above all these things put on love, which is the bond of perfection. And let the peace of God rule in your hearts, to which also you were called in one body; and be thankful. Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly in all wisdom, teaching and admonishing one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing with grace in your hearts to the Lord. And whatever you do in word or deed, do all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through Him. When we read , study and listen to the Word of God and allow it to penetrate and get into our inner mind and heart, we will discover an awesome spiritual power has been released into our lives. Will you choose to read and study the Word and worship the Lord daily? We are the elect of God IF we choose Christ and allow His character to come forth in or lives. You can become a "New Man". #WordPower #WorshipPower Ephesians 4:25-32
Therefore, putting away lying, “Let each one of you speak truth with his neighbor,” for we are members of one another. “Be angry, and do not sin”: do not let the sun go down on your wrath, nor give place to the devil. Let him who stole steal no longer, but rather let him labor, working with his hands what is good, that he may have something to give him who has need. Let no corrupt word proceed out of your mouth, but what is good for necessary edification, that it may impart grace to the hearers. And do not grieve the Holy Spirit of God, by whom you were sealed for the day of redemption. Let all bitterness, wrath, anger, clamor, and evil speaking be put away from you, with all malice. And be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, even as God in Christ forgave you. "The tongue has the power of life and death." Let everything we say be good and helpful. A word of thanks, note of encouragement, a conversation of thanksgiving, a Thanksgiving dinner; these are some ways we can use the power of life by the words we say, write or do as power of life into someone else life. Are you thankful each day or just on Thanksgiving? Can you make a good change and be thankful every day? Practice giving thanks each day many times a day and see how it changes your attitude, joy, blessing, life. In good times and bad we are thankful for all the Lord does for us! #BeThankful #PracticeThanksgiving #PowerofWords Philippians 2:5-9
Let this mind be in you which was also in Christ Jesus, who, being in the form of God, did not consider it robbery to be equal with God, but made Himself of no reputation, taking the form of a bondservant, and coming in the likeness of men. And being found in appearance as a man, He humbled Himself and became obedient to the point of death, even the death of the cross. Therefore God also has highly exalted Him and given Him the name which is above every name, In Ecclesiastes 1:3 What profit has a man from all his labor In which he toils under the sun? it looks as if our labor makes no difference to God. But that contradicts the main reason God came to earth. So the answer "Do I matter?" Jesus is indeed the answer according to the gospels. If you are overwhelmed, lonely, in pain or any need run to Jesus He is the answer. YOU matter to Him. He loves you so much He laid down His life for you! Receive Him today! #DoIMatter #JesusistheAnswer Romans 15:1-7
We then who are strong ought to bear with the scruples of the weak, and not to please ourselves. Let each of us please his neighbor for his good, leading to edification. For even Christ did not please Himself; but as it is written, “The reproaches of those who reproached You fell on Me.” For whatever things were written before were written for our learning, that we through the patience and comfort of the Scriptures might have hope. Now may the God of patience and comfort grant you to be like-minded toward one another, according to Christ Jesus, that you may with one mind and one mouth glorify the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ. Therefore receive one another, just as Christ also received us, to the glory of God. Today we have another opportunity to join with others for the International Day of the Bible – Monday, Nov. 14 at 12-noon local time. It tells us here in Romans we should receive one another just as Christ received us. This brings Him glory! Hallelujah! Reading the Bible out loud in our homes. churches and communities changes the atmosphere and Isa 55:11 becomes a reality. To God be the glory! #BibleCelebration #UnityinChrist #LovetheWord |
