Do not fret or have any anxiety about anything, but in every circumstance and in everything, by prayer and petition (definite requests), with thanksgiving, continue to make your wants known to God. Philippians 4:6
When you are thinking about your life remember this: No amount of guilt can solve the past and no amount of anxiety can change the future. So the only way to move on is to take your troubles to God by prayer, petition and with thanksgiving. #AreweAnxious

Brothers and sisters, if someone is caught in a sin, you who live by the Spirit should restore that person gently. But watch yourselves, or you also may be tempted. Galatians 6:1
How many of us who are CHRISTIANS are always pointing out other peoples sin and hammers them over the head with it, or makes sure everyone knows about it. My fellow Christians, that is not God's way. If you will notice He says "you who live by the Spirit should restore that person gently. That means first and foremost we pray for direction and then we wait upon the Holy Spirit to let us know WHEN we are to approach. And once He has given us direction, then we go to them and gently show them the sin which will then restore them. #1Galatians6 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, forbearance, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and SELF-CONTROL. Galatians 5:22
SELF-CONTROL. This is probably the one fruit we war against the most. It means putting your fleshly desires under control. It means we don't allow our feelings to control our lives but we control our feelings. Self-control is something we have to constantly put into practice. But Jesus gives us the strength to do so. So today, let's practice self-control over food, spending, feelings or wherever the stronghold is. It is the one area that we have to control in order for the other fruits to succeed. #9FruitSelfControl But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, forbearance, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, GENTLENESS . . .
Gentleness means being mild mannered. To not be harsh in word or deed. Can we look for ways we can be gentle towards one another? To speak to a person with respect and love, kindness and goodness are all a part of being gentle with someone. Just like we are gentle with a new born baby. #8FruitGentleness But the fruit of the spirit is love, joy, peace, forbearance, kiindness, goodness, FAITHFULNESS . . . Galatians 5:22
So what does being faithful mean to you? Here are a few definitions: steadfast in affection or allegiance :loyal, a faithful friend. Firm in adherence to promises or in observance of duty :conscientious a faithful employee, given with strong assurance :binding, a faithful promise, true to the facts, held to a standard. So let's see if we can bring this together. Being faithful means you are loyal, firm, true to self and true to Jesus and you hold yourself to the highest standard. Your word is just as binding as a contract. You are always conscientious, and unmovable in your belief of who Jesus is and what He did for us on the cross. When we walk in faithfulness, we know we can trust Him to have our back. #7FruitFaithfulness But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, forbearance, kindness, GOODNESS . . . Galatians 5:22
GOODNESS-a person of such unaffected goodness that his friends were inspired to lead better lives. What a statement and what a gift! #6FruitGoodness But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, forbearance, KINDNESS . . . Galatians 5:22
What life situation are you currently experiencing where you could demonstrate Kindness? So many are so focused on themselves and the desires of their flesh that kindness is all but a lost gift. However, kindness can be something as simple as a smile to someone who is sad or an encouraging word. Or making a phone call to someone who is lonely. Or simply opening a door for someone with their arms full. Or allowing someone to get ahead of you in a long line and the list goes on. . . It really doesn't take much effort to offer kindness in almost any situation. All we have to do is take our eyes off of ourselves and open them to see, to look for ways to be kind. So I challenge you to look for ways you can be kind to someone each and every day. #5FruitKindness But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, LONG-SUFFERING, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control. Against such there is no law. And those who belong to Christ Jesus have crucified the flesh with its passions and desires, Since we live by the Spirit, let us keep in step with the Spirit.
LONG-SUFFERING. How many of us are willing to suffer injustice, slander, back biting, fighting against disease or poor health, or your job or problems with your children or marriage. No matter the problems, the Word tells us to do it with LONG-SUFFERING. Let your Light, the Light of Jesus in you, shine forth. Again, it pairs up with self-control and remaining peaceful in the middle of it. Just imagine how long-suffering Jesus is with us. Waiting for us to come around. Thank you Lord for your unconditional love always! #FruitsLongsuffering Ecclesiastes 4:9-12
The Value of a Friend Two are better than one, Because they have a good reward for their labor. For if they fall, one will lift up his companion. But woe to him who is alone when he falls, For he has no one to help him up. Again, if two lie down together, they will keep warm; But how can one be warm alone? Though one may be overpowered by another, two can withstand him. And a threefold cord is not quickly broken. Are you a true friend? Do you encourage your friends? No matter what the situation let's be encouragers. The Word tells us Two are Better than One! Where Two or more are gathered in Jesus Name HE is in the midst of them. Let your friends know today that you care for them and are a TRUE FRIEND! But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, PEACE, forbearance, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control. Those who belong to Christ Jesus have crucified the flesh with its passions and desires. Galatians 5:22,24
Do you have REAL Peace in your life or do you find yourself always complaining, feeling defeated or angry, full of bitterness. The only way you will find TRUE Peace is through Jesus. Letting go of your desires of the flesh. Forgiving yourself and others. Walking in obedience and truth to His Word. Peace Peace, My Peace I give to you. #3OurFruits |
