But God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of LOVE and of POWER and a SOUND MIND.
Are you walking in fear today? Always, always remember that fear does not come from God, it always comes from the enemy. Satan uses fear to keep you from trusting God to work in your life. God's Love brings us PEACE. God's Power gives us STRENGTH. And God gives us a Sound Mind to CHOOSE good over evil. Blessings to all!

IF you say, "The LORD is my refuge," and you make the Most High your dwelling, no harm will overtake you, no disaster will come near your tent. Psalm 91:9-10
Did you catch the very first word? With the promise comes the conditional word (IF). We can trust and believe every promise in His word (IF) we do our part. (IF) we keep our eyes upon Him and dwell with Him, He will always take care of us, even in the midst of a disaster. Blessings to all! Surely He will save you from the fowler's snare and from the deadly pestilence. He will cover you with his feathers, and under His wings you will find refuge; His faithfulness will be your shield and rampart. Psalms 91:3-4
When we walk in obedience to His Word, His promise to us is: He gives us a hiding place under His feathers; He gives us refuge which is His protection and He is always faithful to give us His shield and rampart which is His armor and His Word to do battle. Are we trusting ourselves to do battle or are we trusting God? It is good to give thanks to the Lord, and sing praises to Your name, O Most High; to declare Your lovingkindness in the morning and Your faithfulness in the evening. Psalm 92: 1-2
Do you wake up giving thanks and praising the Lord for allowing you to have another day? Thanking Him for another day to do right and to bless others? Do you end your day with with thankfulness to the Lord for being faithful to see you through the day. For His protection and His favor throughout the day? His LOVE is from everlasting to everlasting and that alone gives us reason to be Thankful and to Praise Him! Yet I am always with you, you hold my right hand. Psalms 73:23
These four words are like a safety net, protecting you from falling into despair. Sometimes you may feel as if you are in a free fall, when people or things you had counted on let you down. Yet, as soon as you remember that I AM WITH YOU, your perspective changes radically knowing that you can call upon Me for help and I will be there. I am holding you by your right hand and I guide you with My counsel (scripture). Blessed are those who are persecuted because of righteousness, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.
Those who are insulted and persecuted because of Christ do not find joy in the persecution itself, but they are reminded that as they drink the cup of His sufferings, their patience springs from within their hearts and thus provides for them strength to endure suffering. They find a new intimacy with Christ and have the potential to be blessed because of bearing testimony for Him. Only Christ can prepare your heart for a godly response to those who delight in causing you pain and suffering. Place your burdens before Him and seek the joy of perseverance--a blessing Christ wants to give to those who suffer in His name. ask the Lord to prepare you to bear your testimony faithfully regardless of circumstances that unfold to make that journey difficult. Blessed are the PEACEMAKERS for they shall be called children of God. Mathew 5:9
The peacemakers have a spirit of forbearance instead of retaliation. They seek to forgive wrongs and to restore fellowship. The desire is not just to end conflict but to bring healing. Such peace with others only comes when you have peace with God. Blessed are those who are pure in heart, for they will see God. Mathew 5:8
Are your motives pure? The pure in heart have disciplined their lives so that they are committed to set-apartness unto the Lord. This holiness is marked by a difference in our thoughts and motivation. This holiness draws us to be obsessed and controlled by God. Blessed are the Merciful, for they will be shown mercy. Mathew 5:7
The merciful embrace God's way with an act of the will, not in their doing deeds to awaken praise from others but in their displaying faith that is working itself out in meeting the needs of others. You shall be holy, for I the Lord your God am Holy. Leviticus 19:2b
To walk with God is to walk by faith, to trust and obey one day at a time, recognizing our never-ending need for grace. Even in this complicated century, the path to holiness remains the same as it was in the first century after Jesus was born: Prayer and meditation (quiet time apart with God, listening to Him, thinking about what He tells us, learning to trust Him) followed by Simple obedience to what He has said. |
