Read Mark 15
My heart aches, mourns for what our Lord had to suffer so that I MIGHT LIVE.....but my heart is also thankful, joyful because I know that He still lives and is seated at the right hand of God, so that I MIGHT LIVE. SIMPLY GRATEFUL! #MourningTurnedToJoy

Read Mark 14:27-72
It was on this day, over two thousand years ago, that Jesus was betrayed and denied by those with whom He was closest to. By those who said they would never deny Him, in fact, they would die with Him and yet when the time came, not only did they deny Him, they deserted Him. We wonder, how could they, after all they have seen and done? But have we not broken promises because of fear? Two things: These things had to happen in order for scripture to be fulfilled. And allowing fear to overtake us, will always result in death.....physically, emotionally or spiritually. But Praise God we know that He overcame death so that we may live! And that my friends is our hope and our salvation! So don't let fear destroy your life. Instead, honor Him and what He did for each of us on that cross and allow Him to give you the strength and the grace you need to overcome fear in your life so that you may live your life for Him! SIMPLY GRATEFUL! #Denied Even my own familiar friend, in whom I trusted (relied on and was confident), who ate of my bread, has lifted up his heel against me. Ps. 41:9 Read Matt. 26: 14-16
In the last week of Jesus' earthly ministry, He sat there speaking to His disciples about the coming destruction of the Temple in His Olivet Discourse, and while prophesying about the many events that would lead up to His second coming. Judas was secretly meeting with the Sanhedrin about how he could betray Jesus. Even though Judas had no idea how his great evil would be, neither would he imagine the great good his evil deed would do. Jesus however, knew all about it. Christian Quotes SIMPLY GRATEFUL! #Betrayal This is My commandment: that you love one another just as I have loved you. John 15:12
It doesn't matter who they are, where they came from, what color their skin is, what religion they are or are not, nor what they have done; We are to love them just as He loved us when we were them. Selah! SIMPLY GRATEFUL! #Love I have told you these things, that My joy and delight may be in you, an that your joy and gladness may be of full measure and complete and overflowing. John 15:11
Can you see what our obedience brings? Joy, gladness, peace.....so that we are filled completely, with full measure and overflowing! Can you see how much He loves us? Now then, why would we want anything else? We can choose to have joy temporarily the world's way or we can choose to have eternal joy, eternal gladness, eternal peace! Again, it is our choice! SIMPLY GRATEFUL! #Joy IF you keep my commandments [IF you continue to obey My instructions], you will abide in My love and live on in it, just as I have obeyed My Father's commandments and live on in His love. John 15:10
Can you see that His commandments are conditional? IF you KEEP, IF you OBEY, THEN you will abide in My love and live on in it...... Obedience or disobedience will result in consequences, good or bad, and it is our choice, but our choice will not change His love for us. SIMPLY GRATEFUL! #If When you bear (produce) much fruit, My Father is honored and glorified, and you show and prove yourselves to be true followers of Mine. John 15:8
What kind of fruit are you producing? Are you sowing seeds of anger, discord, pride, etc. or are you producing love, peace, joy.....in which Our Father says proves yourself to be a true follower of His. SIMPLY GRATEFUL! #Produce If you live in Me [abide vitally united to Me] and My words remain in you and continue to live in your hearts, ask whatever you will, and it shall be done for you. John 15:7
The word ABIDE means; to accept without objection, to remain stable or fixed in a state. So the above passage could read like this. If you live in Me, accept without rejection and remain stable and My words remain in you and continue to live in your hearts.... And as always His words are conditional to our obedience. So as we walk in complete obedience to His word, His promise is that we can THEN ask whatever we will, and it shall be done for us. SIMPLY GRATEFUL! #Abide I am the Vine; you are the branches. Whoever lives in Me and I in him bears much (abundant) fruit. However, apart from Me you can do nothing. If a person does not dwell in Me, he is thrown out like a branch, and withers; such branches are gathered up and thrown into the fire, and they are burned. If you live in Me [abide vitally united to Me] and My words remain in you and continue to live in your hearts, ask whatever will, and it shall be done for you. John 15:5-7
We don't like to think about what God's word says will happen to us if we refuse to live in obedience to His word because it makes us uncomfortable. Some think that if they just ignore it, it won't happen. Such a sad state of mind. He said, "APART FROM ME, YOU CAN DO NOTHING". IF A PERSON DOES NOT DWELL IN ME, HE IS THROWN OUT LIKE A BRANCH, AND WITHERS......AND THEY ARE BURNED. Please, my friends, don't let that happen to you. He so wants to fellowship with you and honor you and bless you. Will you, are you willing to do whatever it takes to have that right relationship with Him? SIMPLY GRATEFUL! #Vine Dwell in Me, and I will dwell in you. [Live in Me, and I will live in you.] Just as no branch can bear fruit of itself without abiding in (being vitally united to) the vine, neither can you bear fruit unless you abide in Me. John 15:4 AMP
What does He mean when He says to DWELL in Him? He wants us to live as a resident with Him. It is a place where the heart of the matter dwells, spends time with HIM. We are to keep the attention directed on Him: to speak or write insistently about Him. Won't you take the time today to just Dwell with Him, spending time in His Presence? SIMPLY GRATEFUL! #Dwell |
