Genesis 5:1-3
This is the book of the genealogy of Adam. In the day that God created man, He made him in the likeness of God. He created them male and female, and blessed them and called them Mankind in the day they were created. Honoring God by reading His Word together with family is a double blessing. As we celebrate Jesus and His resurrection let us be with family as was His plan from the beginning. That is the theme of our float in the Celebrate Jesus parade this weekend. May we continue the celebration each day!

Colossians 3:1-11
If then you were raised with Christ, seek those things which are above, where Christ is, sitting at the right hand of God. Set your mind on things above, not on things on the earth. For you died, and your life is hidden with Christ in God. When Christ who is our life appears, then you also will appear with Him in glory. Therefore put to death your members which are on the earth: fornication, uncleanness, passion, evil desire, and covetousness, which is idolatry. Because of these things the wrath of God is coming upon the sons of disobedience, in which you yourselves once walked when you lived in them. But now you yourselves are to put off all these: anger, wrath, malice, blasphemy, filthy language out of your mouth. Do not lie to one another, since you have put off the old man with his deeds, and have put on the new man who is renewed in knowledge according to the image of Him who created him, where there is neither Greek nor Jew, circumcised nor uncircumcised, barbarian, Scythian, slave nor free, but Christ is all and in all. Put on the "new man"! We who are in Christ must seek the things of Christ. Setting our minds on those things, mediate on His Word, do NOT be of this world but be transformed into His glorious light. Put off all the "old" and put on the "new", each and everyday. When we read, study, and listen to the Word of God and allow it to penetrate and get into our inner mind and heart, we will discover that an awesome spiritual power has been released into our lives. REJOICE!!! #SeekChrist #BeTransformed #Rejoice Romans 14:13 Therefore let us not judge one another anymore, but rather resolve this, not to put a stumbling block or a cause to fall in our brother’s way.
2 Corinthians 9:6 But this I say: He who sows sparingly will also reap sparingly, and he who sows bountifully will also reap bountifully. Philippians 1:27-28 Only let your conduct be worthy of the gospel of Christ, so that whether I come and see you or am absent, I may hear of your affairs, that you stand fast in one spirit, with one mind striving together for the faith of the gospel, and not in any way terrified by your adversaries, which is to them a proof of perdition, but to you of salvation, and that from God. Thank you, Lord for the gentle reminders. We know that the things You tell us to do in your Word are for our Your glory. Help us to step up and do the things that bring honor to Your name. Genesis 39:1-12
Now Joseph had been taken down to Egypt. And Potiphar, an officer of Pharaoh, captain of the guard, an Egyptian, bought him from the Ishmaelites who had taken him down there. The Lord was with Joseph, and he was a successful man; and he was in the house of his master the Egyptian. And his master saw that the Lord was with him and that the Lord made all he did to prosper in his hand. So Joseph found favor in his sight, and served him. Then he made him overseer of his house, and all that he had he put under his authority. So it was, from the time that he had made him overseer of his house and all that he had, that the Lord blessed the Egyptian’s house for Joseph’s sake; and the blessing of the Lord was on all that he had in the house and in the field. Thus he left all that he had in Joseph’s hand, and he did not know what he had except for the bread which he ate. Now Joseph was handsome in form and appearance. And it came to pass after these things that his master’s wife cast longing eyes on Joseph, and she said, “Lie with me.” But he refused and said to his master’s wife, “Look, my master does not know what is with me in the house, and he has committed all that he has to my hand. There is no one greater in this house than I, nor has he kept back anything from me but you, because you are his wife. How then can I do this great wickedness, and sin against God?” So it was, as she spoke to Joseph day by day, that he did not heed her, to lie with her or to be with her. But it happened about this time, when Joseph went into the house to do his work, and none of the men of the house was inside, that she caught him by his garment, saying, “Lie with me.” But he left his garment in her hand, and fled and ran outside. When temptation knocks at our door, sometimes we must "just walk away". Joseph was tempted by Potipher's wife, but he knew if he gave into temptation he would sin against God. Paul tells us in 1 COR. 10:13 God is faithful; he will not let us be tempted beyond what we can bear. He will provide a way out so we can endure it. #Temptation #WalkAway #GodProvidesaWay Psalm 146
Praise Adonai, my soul! I will praise Adonai as long as I live. I will sing praise to my God all my life. Don’t put your trust in princes or in mortals, who cannot help. When they breathe their last, they return to dust; on that very day all their plans are gone. Happy is he whose help is Ya‘akov’s God, whose hope is in Adonai his God. He made heaven and earth, the sea and everything in them; he keeps faith forever. He secures justice for the oppressed, he gives food to the hungry. Adonai sets prisoners free, Adonai opens the eyes of the blind, Adonai lifts up those who are bent over. Adonai loves the righteous. Adonai watches over strangers, he sustains the fatherless and widows; but the way of the wicked he twists. Adonai will reign forever, your God, Tziyon, through all generations. Halleluyah! The Lord lifts up our eyes to see His Power! When are are bent down we need to just LOOK UP to Him and Praise His Name! #Halleluyah#BentDownLookUp Luke 8:40-48
So it was, when Jesus returned, that the multitude welcomed Him, for they were all waiting for Him. And behold, there came a man named Jairus, and he was a ruler of the synagogue. And he fell down at Jesus’ feet and begged Him to come to his house, for he had an only daughter about twelve years of age, and she was dying. But as He went, the multitudes thronged Him. Now a woman, having a flow of blood for twelve years, who had spent all her livelihood on physicians and could not be healed by any, came from behind and touched the border of His garment. And immediately her flow of blood stopped. And Jesus said, “Who touched Me?” When all denied it, Peter and those with him said, “Master, the multitudes throng and press You, and You say, ‘Who touched Me?’” But Jesus said, “Somebody touched Me, for I perceived power going out from Me.” Now when the woman saw that she was not hidden, she came trembling; and falling down before Him, she declared to Him in the presence of all the people the reason she had touched Him and how she was healed immediately. And He said to her, “Daughter, be of good cheer; your faith has made you well. Go in peace.” We sometimes say I need my "personal space", because we want privacy BUT.. the only way we can help a world of hurting people to to let them get close enough to be touched by encouragement, comfort, and grace of Christ in us. A Christian life is the window through which others can see Jesus. We all need a touch from the Lord. Are you willing to be His vessel today? 1 John 3:1-3
Behold what manner of love the Father has bestowed on us, that we should be called children of God! Therefore the world does not know us, because it did not know Him. Beloved, now we are children of God; and it has not yet been revealed what we shall be, but we know that when He is revealed, we shall be like Him, for we shall see Him as He is. And everyone who has this hope in Him purifies himself, just as He is pure. Treasure each other in the recognition that we do not know how long we shall have each other in this life. Share your hope in God with all you treasure! Love unconditionally, Laugh together, Forgive ALL hurts and offenses. Be the child of God He wants you to BE. 1 Thessalonians 5:15-21
See that no one renders evil for evil to anyone, but always pursue what is good both for yourselves and for all. Rejoice always, pray without ceasing, in everything give thanks; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you.Do not quench the Spirit. Do not despise prophecies. Test all things; hold fast what is good. In all things give THANKS! Why because God is good and we must pursue good! It is God's will for us. Rejoice always and PRAY! I give thanks for all of today! #giveThanks #RejoiceAlways #GodisGood 2 Corinthians 12:7-10
And lest I should be exalted above measure by the abundance of the revelations, a thorn in the flesh was given to me, a messenger of Satan to buffet me, lest I be exalted above measure. Concerning this thing I pleaded with the Lord three times that it might depart from me. And He said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for My strength is made perfect in weakness.” Therefore most gladly I will rather boast in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me. Therefore I take pleasure in infirmities, in reproaches, in needs, in persecutions, in distresses, for Christ’s sake. For when I am weak, then I am strong. Thank you Lord that I can trust you to remove or change any of my weaknesses and handicaps and shortcomings the moment they are no longer needed for your glory, and for my good and for the good of other people...and in the meantime, your grace is sufficient for me, for your strength is made perfect in my weakness. Psalm 8:3-5
When I consider Your heavens, the work of Your fingers, The moon and the stars, which You have ordained, What is man that You are mindful of him, And the son of man that You visit him? For You have made him a little lower than the angels, And You have crowned him with glory and honor. I praise you Lord for the honor of being made in your image, personally formed by you for your glory and gifted spiritually just as it pleased you. Thank you for your strength and ability you have given me. Surely you have been good to be oh Lord! The Lord is amazing in times of sickness or health He gives us what we need, I desperately need you Lord. All that I am is because of you. Without you oh Lord I am nothing BUT....praise be to you Father you are good in me. Let every breath we have Praise the Lord! |
