...And so FAITH, hope, love abide....1Corinthians 13:13
Did you know that FAITH is mentioned in the New Testament 246 times. Let us break down what FAITH means. FAITH is the conviction and belief respecting man's relation to God and divine things. FAITH almost always implies certitude even where there is no evidence or proof; an unshakable faith in God. So, what area in your life are you standing in FAITH, believing and trusting God for, even where there is no evidence or proof. SIMPLY GRATEFUL! #Faith LOVE COVERS ALL......1 Corinthians 13:8
When we HAVE Love, When we WALK with Love, When we TALK with Love, When we ACT with Love, then LOVE COVERS ALL! SIMPLY GRATEFUL! #Love8 Love bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things. 1 Corinthians 13:7
Love bears up under anything and everything that comes. It is ever ready to believe the best of every person. Its hopes are fadeless under all circumstances, and it endures everything (without weakening) (AMP) APPLICATION: His Word will not be effective unless you are willing to apply it to whatever situation you face. I will say Love is Patient, Love is Kind whenever I know I am going to be with someone who is difficult. Or I will Endure this trial whenever I am facing a difficult situation. SIMPLY GRATEFUL! #Love7 Love does not rejoice in iniquity, but rejoices in the truth. 1 Corinthians 13:6
Instead of rejoicing because someone got caught when doing wrong and deserved the punishment, REJOICE because truth and right won out and then pray for them. SIMPLY GRATEFUL! #Love6 Love does not behave rudely, does not seek its own, is not provoked, thinks no evil. 1 Corinthians 13:5
Love does not behave rudely; Can you think of a time when you was rude to maybe a waitress or a person checking you out at the grocery store, etc. Ashamedly, I have. And what a terrible witness of Christ we just gave. What about allowing someone to provoke us and we want to retaliate... These are just a few examples for us to think upon and ask the Lord to remind us that we are representing Him and our actions must reflect His Love. SIMPLY GRATEFUL! #Love5 Love suffers long and is kind; Love does not envy; Love does not parade itself, is not puffed up;
There are times people do things to us or against us that seems like it is impossible to look the other way and be kind. We are to be satisfied with what God has blessed us with and not desire the things others have. And when we have true Godly Love; when we are truly walking with Love in all things, with all people, we will then fulfill the above scripture. SIMPLY GRATEFUL! #Love4 1 Corinthians 13:3
And though I bestow all my goods to feed the poor, and though I give my body to be burned, but have not love, it profits me nothing. 1 Corinthians 13:3 Many of us doing many things in the name of the Lord but if our attitudes and our actions are hurtful, harmful, and not done with and/or out of love, it means/profits us nothing. SIMPLY GRATEFUL! #Love3 And though I have the gift of prophecy, and understand all mysteries and all knowledge, and though I have all faith, so that I could remove mountains, but have not love, I am nothing. 1 Corinthians 13:2
We have all met that person who excels in a particular area because of their talent or gift, but have found it nearly impossible to work with because of their attitude. They are proud, demanding, controlling, etc. Then we have met that person who also has the same talent or gift and they are happy, content, considerate, kind, etc. It is called LOVE....Which would you prefer? The old saying, "LOVE CONQUERS ALL" holds true! And when we profess Christ, LOVE will be the attribute that stands out above all things....SIMPLY GRATEFUL! #Love2 Though I speak with the tongues of men and of angels, but have not love, I have become sounding brass or a clanging cymbal. 1 Corinthians 13:1
When we speak to others without the Love of Christ, we do come across like clanging cymbals... But when we speak with the Love of Christ, their hearts will be open to receive because they know that you are not condemning them but bringing correction or hope or healing and that you really do care. SIMPLY GRATEFUL! #Love |
