Galatians 5:22-26
But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control. Against such there is no law. And those who areChrist’s have crucified the flesh with its passions and desires. If we live in the Spirit, let us also walk in the Spirit. Let us not become conceited, provoking one another, envying one another. What is the fruit of self control? If we say something in anger, frustration, self pity, towards someone we can't take back those words. Self control gives us the power to NOT say or do the things in the flesh that we want to out of wrong motives. It gives us back love. Gal. 5: 14 tells us the law is fulfilled in one word "LOVE" your neighbor as yourself. Love produces the fruit. Love is a choice.

Proverbs 2:1-6
My son,(daughter) if you will receive my words and store my commands inside you, paying attention to wisdom inclining your mind toward understanding -- yes, if you will call for insight and raise your voice for discernment, if you seek it as you would silver and search for it as for hidden treasure -- then you will understand the fear of Adonai and find knowledge of God. For Adonai gives wisdom; from his mouth comes knowledge and understanding. This passage reveals "Hidden Treasure" in the wisdom of God. IF we call for insight and raise our voice for discernment IF we seek as we would for "hidden treasure" of silver or gold we will understand the fear of the Lord and find the knowledge of God. We must search with our WHOLE heart. Lord help us to slow down and listen to what you teach us through your Word! #hiddentreasure #FearoftheLord 1 Corinthians 9:24-27
Striving for a Crown Do you not know that those who run in a race all run, but one receives the prize? Run in such a way that you may obtain it. And everyone who competes for the prize is temperate in all things. Now they do it to obtain a perishable crown, but we for an imperishable crown. Therefore I run thus: not with uncertainty. Thus I fight: not as one who beats the air. But I discipline my body and bring it into subjection, lest, when I have preached to others, I myself should become disqualified. Learning self discipline and endurance is not only for the athlete but for the Christian who is running the race for a perishable crown. We must bring our minds, words and body into subjection for the victory run. As you speak His Words in belief of subjection your body will line up if we faint not! Run your race with fervency of the power of God's blessings. |
