But mercy and kindness of the Lord are from everlasting to everlasting upon those who reverently and worshipfully fear Him, and His righteousness is to children's children. To such as keep His covenant [hearing, receiving, loving, and obeying it] and to those who [earnestly] remember His commandments to do them. Psalm 103:17-18 AMP
God describes perfectly our part in His commandment. Read it again....But mercy and kindness of the Lord are from everlasting to everlasting upon those WHO REVERENTLY AND WORSHIPFULLY fear [respect, honor] HIM! To those who KEEP His covenant, to those who REMEMBER His commandments to DO them. As always, when we do our part, He will do His. So if you're struggling in your day to day life, never seem to get ahead, constantly battling with someone, then you need to take an inventory of your life and meditate on the above scripture and ask yourself "Am I being obedient to keep His commandments?" Do you think you have committed such atrocious sins that He cannot forgive you? When He died on the cross He did that so whosoever believes in Him will be forgiven. Do you realize that to Jesus, telling a white lie is just as serious an iniquity as murder or rape. I know that's hard to wrap our brain around because we put sin into different categories, but God does not. I have found that the real problem for those who believe God cannot forgive them have actually have been unable to forgive themselves. And we handle that the same way we do in forgiving others. Because forgiveness is an act of our will and not an emotion then we must do the same. We CHOOSE to forgive ourselves and when we've done that, God will always forgive you. SIMPLY GRATEFUL! #Forgives Bless the Lord, O my soul, and forget not all His benefits: Psalm 103:2
It's kind of like having an insurance policy that lists all the benefits you have. We will read it and then forget what was offered. So when it comes time to have something done we're thinking well, I don't think I'm covered for this or that. He gives us two commands here. 1st Bless Him with all that is within you! 2nd Forget not ALL His benefits. You can only remember what you have put in. You have to get His Word into your heart, for that is where the victory is. His benefits are health and wealth to us. SIMPLY GRATEFUL! #Benefits Bless the Lord, O my soul; And all that is within me, bless His Holy name! Psalm 103:1
We are to Bless the Lord with everything that is in us...Have you ever been to a ball game and you know the excitement we feel when our team makes a sudden, miraculous throw that turns the whole game around? We jump to our feet, we whoop and holler, we slap each other on the backs. THAT dear friends is the way we are to BLESS our Lord; with EVERYTHING, with total EXCITEMENT, with so much excitement inside us we cannot contain it. SO LIFT YOUR VOICE AND BLESS THE LORD WITH EVERYTHING THAT IS IN YOU! SIMPLE GRATEFUL! #Bless Do not be afraid of sudden terror, Nor of trouble from the wicked when it comes; For the Lord will be your confidence, and will keep your foot from being caught. Proverbs 3:26
Have you found yourself is fear when we hear of natural or man-made disasters - or when someone suddenly attacks us physically, emotionally or spiritually? Not to say we don't get into fear if maybe for a moment but when we have that personal relationship with Jesus and we totally trust His Word, He will keep our foot from being caught up in the attack and keep us from falling into that fear. When we trust Him completely, we know we can walk out of the attack, intact with complete peace. SIMPLY GRATEFUL! #Confidence Every Word of God is PURE; He is a shield to those who put their trust in Him.
Proverbs 30:5 Have you wondered why His Word is just as true today as the day it was written? Because it never changes, it is Pure and rightly divides truth from lies. His Word truly SHIELDS us from the evils of this world when we put our trust in the One true God/Jesus To not trust His Word is the same as calling Him a liar. SIMPLY GRATEFUL! #Shield So now you are not a slave; you are God's child, and God will give you the blessing He promised. Galatians 4:7
Do you rise above the past and make a difference? Or do you remain controlled by the past and make excuses? ...Many choose the convalescent homes of the heart...Back and forth they rock in the chair of regret...Lean closely and you will hear them: "If only"....Maybe you've used those words...If such is the case...go to John's gospel and read Jesus' words: "Human life comes from human parents, but spiritual life comes from the Spirit" (John 3:6) max lucado SIMPLY GRATEFUL! #WhenGodWispersYourName It will be health to your flesh, and strength to your bones. Proverbs 3:8
Have you yet come to realize that whatever is going on in our spirit will eventually show up in our flesh/our bodies. There are numerous references in the Bible that shows how our Spiritual health affects our physical health. Selah SIMPLY GRATEFUL! Proverbs 3:8 Do not be wise in your own eyes; FEAR THE LORD AND DEPART FROM EVIL.....Proverbs 3:7b
Most people do not realize there are two types of fear. There is the fear of danger, fear of people, fear of situations. They are afraid of His power and afraid of His righteousness. But the FEAR of the LORD that the bible speaks of is REVERENCE for a Holy God. A profound reverence, adoring awed respect. Honor and respect felt or shown, to glorify! Does that sound like someone to be afraid of? Our God is a HOLY God! The only time there should be "FEAR" is when we turn away from Him and follow the ways of the evil one. So the Scripture could be read this way: "Honor, respect, reverence" the Lord and depart from evil....SIMPLY GRATEFUL! #Fear |
