I will greatly rejoice in the Lord,
My soul shall be joyful in my God;
For He has clothed me with the garments of salvation,
He has covered me with the robe of righteousness,
As a bridegroom decks himself with ornaments,
And as a bride adorns herself with her jewels.
For as the earth brings forth its bud,
As the garden causes the things that are sown in it to spring forth,
So the Lord God will cause righteousness and praise to spring forth before all the nations.
I am so thankful for God's Word that tells us he covers us with robe of righteousness and will cause praise to spring forth before ALL the nations. As we prepare to go to Nepal we are excited and expectant of His wonderful Word going forth in that nation!
So then faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of God
We grow our faith by reading the Word out loud! We must hear it. Have you read to your children or grandchildren lately? Today I encourage you to read aloud His Words and mediate on them. It will change your life.
Philippians 1:20 according to my earnest expectation and hope that in nothing I shall be ashamed, but with all boldness, as always, so now also Christ will be magnified in my body,
Great expectations done by Christ in our lives gives Him honor and glory! Let's allow Christ to use our broken vessel for His glory and honor. It truly is amazing!
Psalms 119: 81-83, 89My soul faints for Your salvation,
But I hope in Your word.
My eyes fail from searching Your word,
Saying, “When will You comfort me?”
For I have become like a wineskin in smoke,
Yet I do not forget Your statutes.
Forever, O Lord,
Your word is settled in heaven.
Thirty seven times in Psalms 119 God reveals the power in His Word. We trust, we delight, we commit, we hope, we have confidence, we do not forget, we take heed, we have life, we give thanks, we keep His Word in our hearts. Today I pray we all remember and read His promises in Psalms 119. All of these are in the very middle of the Bible! HalleluYah!!!!!
Psalms 40:1-5a I waited patiently for the Lord; And He inclined to me, And heard my cry. He also brought me up out of a horrible pit, Out of the miry clay, And set my feet upon a rock, And established my steps. He has put a new song in my mouth-- Praise to our God; Many will see it and fear, And will trust in the Lord. Blessed is that man who makes the Lord his trust, And does not respect the proud, nor such as turn aside to lies. Many, O Lord my God, are Your wonderful works Which You have done;
When we preserve through a trial what a blessing to know God is our trust. He is faithful! He never leaves us or forsakes us!
1 Peter 5: 5-9 Likewise you younger people, submit yourselves to your elders. Yes, all of you be submissive to one another, and be clothed with humility, for“God resists the proud, But gives grace to the humble.” Therefore humble yourselves under the mighty hand of God, that He may exalt you in due time, casting all your care upon Him, for He cares for you.Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil walks about like a roaring lion, seeking whom he may devour. Resist him, steadfast in the faith, knowing that the same sufferings are experienced by your brotherhood in the world.
Resisting temptation, resist what the world says, resist wrong thinking, resist bad attitudes, resist evil doings, be humble, be strong, be courageous, be steadfast in your faith in God, THE DEVIL MUST FLEE! Amen!
Preserve me, O God, for in You I put my trust.
O my soul, you have said to the Lord,
“You are my Lord, My goodness is nothing apart from You.”
As for the saints who are on the earth, “They are the excellent ones, in whom is all my delight.”
Their sorrows shall be multiplied who hasten after another god; Their drink offerings of blood I will not offer, Nor take up their names on my lips.
O Lord, You are the portion of my inheritance and my cup; You maintain my lot.
The lines have fallen to me in pleasant places;
Yes, I have a good inheritance.
I will bless the Lord who has given me counsel;
My heart also instructs me in the night seasons.
I have set the Lord always before me;
Because He is at my right hand I shall not be moved.
Therefore my heart is glad, and my glory rejoices; My flesh also will rest in hope.
For You will not leave my soul in Sheol,
Nor will You allow Your Holy One to see corruption.
You will show me the path of life;
In Your presence is fullness of joy;
At Your right hand are pleasures forevermore.
When you get down, physically, financially, or spiritually remember we have victory in Messiah!
And God spoke to Moses and said to him: “I am the Lord. 3 I appeared to Abraham, to Isaac, and to Jacob, as God Almighty, but by My name YHWH (El-Shaddai) I was not known to them.
El-Shaddai means "The God Who is Enough", "The All Powerful," and the "One Who is Self Sufficient," which signified God as the source. Whatever problem we have God ( YHWH) is the one who has the resources to solve the problem. He is our source of everything! Amen
1 Peter 4:7-11
But the end of all things is at hand; therefore be serious and watchful in your prayers. And above all things have fervent love for one another, for “love will cover a multitude of sins.” Be hospitable to one another without grumbling. As each one has received a gift, minister it to one another, as good stewards of the manifold grace of God. If anyone speaks, let him speak as the oracles of God. If anyone ministers, let him do it as with the ability which God supplies, that in all things God may be glorified through Jesus Christ, to whom belong the glory and the dominion forever and ever. Amen.
As e serve one another in harmony we see God's glory put together to show others His love! Today I pray we can serve together
Then James and John, the sons of Zebedee, came to Him, saying, “Teacher, we want You to do for us whatever we ask.” And He said to them, “What do you want Me to do for you?” They said to Him, “Grant us that we may sit, one on Your right hand and the other on Your left, in Your glory.” But Jesus said to them, “You do not know what you ask. Are you able to drink the cup that I drink, and be baptized with the baptism that I am baptized with?” They said to Him, “We are able.” So Jesus said to them, “You will indeed drink the cup that I drink, and with the baptism I am baptized with you will be baptized; but to sit on My right hand and on My left is not Mine to give, but it is for those for whom it is prepared.” And when the ten heard it, they began to be greatly displeased with James and John. But Jesus called them to Himself and said to them, “You know that those who are considered rulers over the Gentiles lord it over them, and their great ones exercise authority over them. Yet it shall not be so among you; but whoever desires to become great among you shall be your servant. And whoever of you desires to be first shall be slave of all. For even the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve, and to give His life a ransom for many.”
Yesterday this word came for us, "We must be like Christ". To do so we must serve each other.
